Storage and virtualisation

Replaces the vCenter TLS certificate.

The appliance runs the package and connects to VMware vCenter through vSphere REST API over HTTPS on port 443. No agent is installed on VMware vCenter.

What happens

  1. The appliance connects to VMware vCenter through vSphere REST API on port 443.
  2. The vCenter TLS certificate is replaced.
  3. The package waits while vCenter restarts its services. If it fails: Rollback puts the previous certificate back. It needs the previous key, as vCenter does not hand it out.
  4. Verification: the package checks the certificate vCenter uses.
